Egypt and Jordan

Arrival at Cairo airport – assistance through passport control and welcomed by a representative from Mirus Voyages. Transfer to the hotel by an air conditioned bus.
Drive to the Alexandria Desert Road and along the way we will MONASTERY ST BICHOI. The tour of Alexandria will include the Great library, which was completed in 2002 with a main circular building resembing the sun. In addition to one of the most important deities of Pharaonic times, the catacombs of Kom el SHOKAFA, dating from the I and IISS century. These catacombs are spread over 3 levels and demonstrate once again the merge between the Egyptian iconography and the Graeco-Roman.
Overnight in Alexandria
Drive to Al Alamein, dating back to the second World War and then we will continue our road to Mersa Matrouh for lunch. In early afternoon we will take the road to reach the Oasis of Siwa.
Night in the oasis.
Visit the TEMPLE OF THE ORACLE, visited by Alexander The Great followed by the old Shala, an ancient city perched on a rocky outcrop and protected by a XIII century wall
The next stop will be The CLEOPATRA wells, big natural pool with a spring.
The afternoon will be in 4X4 to enter the “great sea of sand” and visit the market of SIWA.
Take the road to Alexandria to spend the night.
The National Museum appears as an essential complement to the Museums of Cairo and Upper Egypt. You’ll find Pharaonic, Islamic and Coptic sections, in addition to some blocks of stone found off the eastern port of Fort by a french man named J. Yves Empereur.
Excursion to Rachid, a city founded by the caliphs in 870 on the ruins of another ancient city, where you will visit Ottoman houses.
Visit the Hammam Azouz, dating from the XVIIIth century keeping all its structures (water installations, pools, alcoves …).

Take the road back to Cairo to spend the night.

Tour of Saqqara, the city that is known early history to be copied but never imitated. Followed by a visit to the complex of Djoser, its pyramid and the mastaba.
Visit the Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Temple Valley.
Visit the Cairo Museum, the biggest museum of Egyptology in the world, containing over 150,000 pieces including 4000 fabulous pieces of Tutankhamun.
Drive to St. Catherine through the Suez Canal, taking the routes of the Exodus, “Firan oasis”.

Overnight in St. Catherine.

Enjoy the sunrise over the mountains of Sinai, during the night ascent of Mount Horeb on foot or by camel (optional).
During the descent, we will visit St. Catherine Monastery and its museum of manuscripts and icons.
Road to NUWEIBA/ boat to Aqaba.
Overnight in Aqaba.
Road to Wadi Rum, passing through Valley Saharan where you enjoy stunning sandy views and unique rock formations.
This is followed by a 4 hour tour in a 4×4 in the desert where history was discovered like thamudéennes and Nabatean inscriptions, temples, indicating that the desert was the place of passage for caravans. Head to Petra, “the pearl of the desert”.
Overnight in Petra – Wadi Musa.
Upon reaching Petra, we access the site from the Siq (gorge of Wadi Musa) where there are numerous caves, burial tombs and monoliths. In addition to El Khazneh ( The Treasury) and colossal tomb theater.

Ascent Zibb Attuf the ‘High Place”, a place of worship of the Semitic religions. Ancient outdoor monuments are found in the area like Lion Monument, the garden tomb and mausoleum of the Roman soldier. Descent to the museum along the Wadi Faras.

Ascent to the Deir (the Monastery), enjoying a series of tombs and shrines. Later visits will include The museum, Qasr al-Bint, the Great Temple, the church mosaics and El Khubtha (the Corinthian Tomb, with the largest facade in Petra).
Overnight in Petra – Wadi Musa.

The Route of the King: Kerak, Madaba and Mount Nebo
Departure for the north of King Road, beautiful scenery.
Visit the fortress of Kerak. Around 1142 the Crusaders built a huge fortress overlooking the city where he still remains impressive.
Visit Mount Nebo where Moses saw the Promised Land: the Basilica Museum (beautiful mosaics). Continue to Madaba: visit the Church of St. George and its famous mosaics representing Palestine.
Route and overnight in Amman.
Amman, Dead Sea, Jerash
This tour in Amman, Philadelphia Biblical, capital of the Hashemite Kingdom includes visiting the citadel and the theater’s museum. In the Citadel, we will visit the Archaeological Museum of Amman, where there are beautiful preserved pieces, including sculptures of Nabatean.
Depart to the Dead Sea for lunch over there and swimming time.
Visit Jerash, the ancient Gerasa of the Decapolis, one of the most remarkable places in Jordan. The ruins of this city of the Decapolis are magnificent because of the existence of the Roman hippodrome, triumphal arch, the temple of Zeus established elliptical theaters, Byzantine churches and the temple of Artemis .

Return and overnight in Amman.
